October 7-16: American Craft Week (throughout WNC) American Craft Week is a national event celebrating the work of American artisans. October 7-9, 14-16: The March of Dimes Designer Showhouse (Charlotte) See the work of some of the area’s prominent design firms, who have furnished this Eastover home. Admission is $15, and ticket proceeds benefit the March of Dimes. |

October 20-23: Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands (Asheville) If you missed the last show in July, now is your chance to view and purchase works of fine art and craft produced by top artisans of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild. November 3-6: International Antiques & Collectibles Show (Charlotte) This antiques fair is billed as “one of the largest shows of its kind held on the East coast”. Having attended a few times, I would add that the quality of vendors and selection of unique finds is superb. Bring your walking shoes for this treasure hunt! Admission is $5. |

November 4-6: Hickory Furniture Mart’s After Market Sale (Hickory) The High Point Market Week is a bi-annual trade show showcasing the latest in home decor. Although Market Week is only open to the trade, you can get in on the fun and find a bargain on home furnishings and decor at the Hickory Furniture Mart’s after market sale. |
