One of my most exciting finds at High Point Market last month: beautiful, artisan crafted sustainable wood furniture by local company Clayton Oxford. Clayton Oxford is one of those companies that exists to do what they love, and it shows. Their business model is based on sourcing environmentally friendly and reclaimed materials at fair trade prices from indigenous locations around the world. North Carolina-based artisans use these materials to create one-of-a-kind tables, chairs, and art objects.
Some of the photos I took at the High Point showroom:
I could see some of these pieces working beautifully in a very clean lined modern interior, where they would add texture and warmth. Of course, they’d be right at home in a rustic interior, too. Tables and desks come in standard sizes, and can also be customized by size, material and finish. See Clayton Oxford’s website for their full catalog and more information about their furniture. The company mainly sells through retailers and interior designers (yep, that’s moi!) Direct inquiries may also be made through their website.
