Friday Gallery Crawl
Friday, August 5th is Gallery Crawl night in Charlotte. Visit the historic South End and NoDa neighborhoods and enjoy music, refreshments and original artwork. For more detail about participating galleries and venues, click the following links:

- Historic South End: 14 galleries will be participating at the South End gallery crawl, which takes place every 1st Friday.
- NoDa: Enjoy hip galleries and funky shops in NoDa. Their gallery crawl happens every 1st and 3rd Friday.
- Neighborhood Theater “All Arts Crawl”: this is a one-stop shop to view and purchase affordable original works by 80+ artists, who will be in attendance at the event.
- Slate Interiors: Make a pit stop at Slate on your way between South End and NoDa. The shop will have extended hours until 8pm and will feature the works of local artists.
Mint Museum Exhibitions
The Mint Museum has many current and ongoing exhibits that are well worth a visit. A few highlights here:
- Passages: Green Wall
July 26-Aug 12
Bamboo artist and Ikebana master Tetsunori Kawana is building a bamboo installation at the Mint Museum Randolph location. Kawana and local volunteers will build a 20x20x82 foot passageway from bamboo that visitors will be able to walk through and experience.

- North Carolina Pottery: Diversity & Traditions
Through Sept 11; Mint Museum Randolph location
Learn about North Carolina’s famed pottery regions, including Seagrove, Catawba Valley, the Moravian settlement at Forsyth County, and Penland.
- Attitude and Alchemy: The Metalwork of Gary Noffke
Through Sept 11; Mint Museum uptown location.
View metal works by Gary Noffke, considered one of the foremost metalsmiths in the US.
