Deck the Halls: Ideas for Your Fireplace Mantel

I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had a busy long weekend, with a packed to-do list that included pie eating, seeing The Muppets, and decorating my home for the holidays. The stockings are now hung with care, and I’ve got one very excited 4-year old hoping Santa will soon be here.

The fireplace is the focal point of holiday decor for many homes, so I thought I’d share some inspirational photos I’ve collected of mantel displays this year. A great starting point for any decorating scheme is the location and style of your home. North Carolina certainly hosts a broad range of geographies and housing types, from beach cottages to mountain cabins. With that in mind, I’ve loosely organized these mantel ideas based on home location/style.
